I spent an hour yesterday morning puzzled by the PLSA’s position on retirement choice architecture . The PLSA seem to have given up on “DC pensions” and they appear to have fallen out with the Government. You can read about that here.
I spent a more profitable hour in the afternoon listening to Hilary Salt, Con Keating and Matthew Arends talking about how CDC’s investment strategies could deliver on the promises made for this new kind of pension scheme. The Pension Management Institute is properly focusing on how to pay pensions from DC pots.

Con Keating has written a piece to accompany the debate and I am publishing that separately. You can link to it here
