5 ways to stay happy on a lockdown Saturday morning!

I have good reason to feel sorry for myself this morning, but I am not sorry for myself – I am in an extremely good news for the following five reasons

  1. I am listening to Aggers and Tuffers on test match special , discussing traffic conditions in lockdown Galle. Galle cricket club pre lockdown
  2. I have an offer of faster broadband from BT!
  1. I have a tube of Voltarol ( free product plug for GSK). Last night’s ignominious bellyflop while running down the hill from Islington is almost forgotten!

  1. We have decided to continue Christmas indefinitely. This tree is not coming down till Stella and I are vaccinated

I don’t see why we need yet more  coniferous  debris on the streets of London and I’m glad to see, as I take my exercise, that Christmas decorations remain up around the Barbican and Golden Lane estates!

  1. I am not in hospital – nor look likely to be! Thanks to all who have sent kind thoughts, both I and Stella are out of isolation and we seem fit and healthy. We are taking Vitamin D and are showing no sign of Long Covid.

Stay safe – stay happy!

We have at least three months of this lockdown ahead of us. Most of us won’t be out of the woods/onto the mountains till April. These little things like Christmas trees, exercise, Voltarol, test match special and upgraded broadband are enough for me. In an hour’s time I will watch the Morning Line and get my bets on for ITV racing this pm. Stella will get up and we will have a hug! None of this stuff costs much and none of it hurts anyone.

I know I am blessed and I can count my blessings! If you’re safe – why don’t you count yours?

And for those who are not so lucky, for those working to keep us safe and for those who have sickness and are in hospital, our thoughts and prayers are with you. If you read this blog, know that my love is in my fingers and when I press “publish” , in a few minutes time, I do this with a dose of love – just for you!

Glad to hear you’ve got enough going on to keep you contented through these testing times. A tester for retirement maybe (without COVID)?

I remember many years ago when I was single, keeping a potted Christmas tree (alive) in my living room until March! Perhaps you’ll beat my record?

Keep taking the Vitamin D…….my father is taking this (on the doctor’s recommendation) due to long-term illness and is convinced it’s one of the reasons he didn’t develop full COVID symptoms after testing positive, when my mother was hospitalised with it.

    Take care both.
