I was a little confused about Arboreum so thanks to Ben Fowler for explaining the context of the company Arboreum Limited.

Arboreum (not Arboretum)

It has two Directors, Ben and Adrian Boulding and is part of Collective Pensions. Ben is managing director of Collective Pensions.

Collective considers Arboreum a “specialist business”.  I would like to think the impact on private pensions in the UK would be more than specialist!   “The proposition is targeting a membership of 500,000 by the end of 2032”

Collective Pensions has a strong actuarial basis. Arboreum is an offering with Adrian (a noted actuary) the MD. New hires include Colin Haines , an actuary with whom I’ve worked on recently and who has been helping TPR. Iain Clarke completes the workforce publicised on Arboreum’s website.  He has more than 25 years’ experience in the asset management industry, having built his career on securing retained mandates for strategic M&A.

Vestey Holdings and Timpson will supply the financial support for Arboreum. We wish them luck and hope that family offices feel comfort from a CDC scheme aligned to them.
