To Guy Opperman and Flora – a little boy!

A good view in many ways!

Last week I reported on the trauma for the Opperman’s of losing Zola in Haggerston. That story ended happily with the hound appearing in the Birdcage in Columbia Road. Now there is more good news!

I hadn’t appreciated that while all this was happening, Flora Opperman was preparing for the birth of her third child, who was happily born yesterday.

Guy Opperman, the Pension Minister and Flora his wife have lived with the loss or their twins who were born too soon and lived but a few hours.

Well done to Guy , Flora and Kitto. They have chosen to share their sorrow with us and now they share their joy.

May August be a month when you can enjoy the first blessed fruits of parenthood. Whatever life has in store for our Pension Minister after 5th September, can take second place – for now!
