I’m pleased to see that Pensions UK’s conference next month now has CDC a little more prominent than a final day wash up session. It has introduced a session on its first day, the Tuesday. Here it is.
CDC In Practice as a speaking session at the Pensions UK Annual Conference is now on the programme agenda. I quote the blurb
CDC is increasingly moving from policy discussion to practical reality, and this session will focus on what it actually takes to deliver successful CDC arrangements in practice.
The panel brings together Guy Opperman (former Pension Minister), Dr Harinder Mann (Co-Chair, CDC Forum), and John Wilson (Head of Technical & Research, Aptia), who will explore the practical considerations for delivering CDC successfully, including governance, administration, technology, member engagement and regulatory oversight.
The session will provide practical insights into how CDC can be translated from policy ambition into operational reality.
I have had my media pass withdrawn as being too much on the side of CDC so cannot afford financially or in time to attend.
I feel like those journalists in America must feel! All the same, I hope this session goes well and is well attended. I rather think it will be!

By a happy coincidence, I am speaking at a Pensions UK event this afternoon to the East Midlands Pensions UK group.
