Confusion ABOUT Torsten Bell but certainty FROM him about pensions

Am I the only reader of Corporate Adviser over how they know there is a Bell in the cabinet? If that “Bell” is Torsten Bell, he has neither joined nor remains in the cabinet.

My friend Tom McPhail  is as mystified as me

I can’t repeat what I thought when I read Tom’s tweet!

What I can repeat is what Torsten Bell is saying on Twitter. Very recently he has had to put a member of his opposition who had set a rumour as fact over the state pension age. I am ashamed that I republished what turns out to have been nonsense.

The link to Bells’ contribution to the State Pension Age debate can be found on this link and goes back to March 18th of this year.

Whether Torsten Bell will still be Pensions Minister at the end of the week , we do not know. But whether he is or isn’t, he has used twitter (for once) to remind those who read its posts of his thoughts.

A leaving statement or a defiant promise to finish the job? On a Wednesday morning, I do not know what’s happening to Torsten Bell; but I’m sure we’ll miss him if he’s no longer pension minister.

  1. Mr. Bryn Davies says:

Like many other junior ministerial appointments, we still, at 7:21 am, await an official announcement about the Minister for Pensions. We do know that Baroness Sherlock has been reappointed as DWP minister in the Lords, which is good news.

It makes my day to have your comments!
