Pension Bee have issued this report and I’m glad they have
Thanks to Pension Bee for making this important. I have not read about this in the Pensions Commission report or thought about it as Becky O’Connor is asking me to do.
I want to find out more about the Timms Review and the prevalence of disability. I know nothing about youth disability which appears an alarming and underappreciated trend
What does it mean to be disabled? I know nothing about the financial impact of disability: both in the short and long term
The PPI have done previous research on the impact of disability on pension saving and the impact of disability on long-term finances.
Is there a disability pension gap , what are the Conclusions and policy considerations , what are the policy recommendations.
Here is Becky’s introduction, I intend to pick up on the points raised as this is precisely the unsexy stuff that does not get covered in the glamorous world of mainstream pension publications.
Here’s the introduction from the report that can be downloaded here

And to end – here is Becky’s conclusion

This needs repeating. We should make sure it is.
