This isn’t one of those trophy weekends when the sun is shining. The river is full of last week’s rain and the temperatures are ten degrees down on this time last week.
But Lady Lucy was out yesterday and will be out again today, plying the long reaches and the short lock cuts between Windsor and Reading.
And the river gives new delights on every trip. Yesterday’s came at Lynch’s island , just above Shiplake lock where wildlife loving Sophie Daems found some little Teals.
Today will see more kind people on the river and I look forward to welcoming among others the Ferret.
Lady Lucy welcomes the kind of people who make good things happen!
If you’d like to come out on the boat later this year, you can book you and your party in on this link. There is no cost, just bring your kindness and a picnic!
