A sunnier side to Port Talbot

Dancing like a hippo with a Welsh Lovely who had serenaded us with her karaoke on the Port Talbot esplanade!

The life of a jobbing pension commentator doesn’t have to be dull or sad and while this is not the glamour associated with the wealth management industry, it’s as good a representation of the state of Port Talbot today, as I’m able to give you!

The Thyssen Krupp deal has secured work in the town for the next few years, the disruption caused by the RAA is nearly over, and those who have been ripped off, are fighting back with Phillipa Hann, Al Rush and Chive.

Port Talbot is pretty special, whether you are staring down at the great steelworks or sunning yourself a mile west on its beautiful beach.

The people aren’t bad either, changed my view of Welsh life for sure!

As for Al Rush’s Great Pension Debate, let’s just say- it is what it is. It’s an assembly of people who believe in getting better at the job and are prepared to put the hard graft in – to understand what that means.

Not much time this morning as another day beckons. But here’s what it looked like as we turned in.
