I was born on a Yeovil Saturday

It was pissing down with rain

My Mum said

“What a big head

I ain’t doing that again”

Well me  Dad rushed in

And here is the thing

He gave me some great advice

He said “now listen my boy

It ain’t all joy

But remember this all your life

Well I grew up I never faltered

And I found me a Yeovil gal

Then there came ,

 a wedding day

And this is the tale to tell

Now the vicar he said be faithful

And all others you must forsake

I said “I’ll marry you true

Cos I love you

But there’s something that I must say..

We had a little boy

we loved him so

Our little pride and joy.

He learned to walk,

 then he learned to talk

Imagine my heart that day

My emotions stirred

With his first words

When I heard him say
