I have followed the retirement of Damian Stancombe from a partner at Barnett Waddingham , through exploration of not having work to a return to work.

Yeovil Town had a manager for a few days last month who came and went back to Chesterfield to so his old job. Damian is doing something new (CEO of Freedom) but like us Yeovil fans, us linked in followers are scratching out heads about what this fellow is going to be up to!

In case you wonder. Monday will be the Tapper work day – for the Yeovil fans among us , it will be a London work day – as it will be for Damian many week to come!

We’re down 0-3 at home, cheer up Damian – it could be worse!

We get on with our lives and it’s great to be in workforces as all these three will attest! You will find in the new work you are in a return to a community and I hope it has purpose.

I hope we will see each other in Manchester for the “PUK” event in two weeks time, I hope that Freedom brings you what you’re after – and perhaps to others who you will think of as clients.

We will have mutual acquaintances in Manchester, a lady chirping about her “Epic Retirement”, a lot of people who know us both and more important, millions of people who are going through what you just have.

I hope Damian Stancombe,  you understand retirement better for your trial run.- or should I say walk?
