When money is no object…

This bill’s been floating around social media for a couple of years and floated onto my linked in timeline, a welcome diversion from glamorous marketing people showing off awards for financial services to the hospitality industry.

I think it very ungrateful after paying a service charge of 20%, $25,000 of tax and a $21,000 admin surcharge that there was nothing in the gratuity box.  Quite apart from paying $100,000 for a single bottle of champagne, these guys paid nearly $100,000 in extras.

The bill was paid at 5.19 AM.

We’ve all had these moments. I had mine yesterday when I chose to pay £40 for a bottle of PicPoul I can buy in Lidl for £7.99. I paid another £5 to have it served me and I dare say whoever picked up the bill – paid a tip on top,

When money is no object, nobody looks at the bill -until the morning after
