Lady Lucy is back and looking for crew!

Lady lucy new

Well here she is, revarnished, redecked and repainted. After a spring long refit Lady Lucy is back on the river and after trials today, will be ready for a first outing next weekend.

It your idea of heaven is floating up and down the Thames on a 1946 Osborne luxury motor cruiser, then Lady Lucy is the boat for you.

Moored in the magnificent Mill Pond of Peter Freebody’s boatyard, this wonderful craft has everything a dayboat needs. Indeed it sleeps seven (and has done!)

If you venture on to this rather marvellous website you can see how the boat was rebuilt from 2004-7 in double diagonally planked mahogany.

If you would like to spend a day on the river watching the Henley Royal Regatta, we still have space on the Thursday. Follow this link to book for Henley.

And if you can’t make that day, you can come with us any weekend between now and the middle of October (just put your name down for the appropriate Sunday (if you’d like to come on another day instead just mail henry.tapper@pensionplaypen.com (no promises on captain’s availability

You can select your weekend using this link

If you’d like to see how this looks on the river, check the pages of this blog or follow links like this and this and this.
