This photo that adorns my blog is of Ludgate Hill which is my neck of the woods and the right side of Ludgate Circus. Fleet Street is a grotty stretch of former journalist’s offices and the rather nice pubs they used to drink in. Samuel Johnson lived on the Fleet Street side while the Stationers have their Hall on Ludgate Hill.

The City of London has decided to promote Fleet Street by showing St Pauls and the very updated Ludgate Hill. We – within Farringdon turn our nose up at Fleet Street and those to the West of Ludgate. We are business folk , Fleet Street is for those who make a living from their words (that’s enough slagging off journos- ed).
Here’s St Pauls at the top of Ludgate Hill everyone! See how well it’s scrubbed up of late!
