    I do hope that there is more emphasis on making the cake bigger rather than re-slicing the current inadequately sized economy.

    10 minutes before the Budget Statement starts – it looks as if the above figures have been justified (£22BN headroom, £8BN from frozen allowances, £4BN from NI on salary sacrifice).
    Perhaps we could have written it yesterday!
