16 years to celebrate

This is my 9,000th blog. I don’t get hung up by blog stats but you might be interested in the outliers! Tomorrow there will be a blog published early, I like to make Monday a little easier and I’m typing while watching England v Spain , if we win I won’t be up early!

714 blogs I’ve liked enough to make the blog default to them. I’ve started 167 blogs and haven’t finished them and 32 blogs have had to be taken down because they’ve annoyed people. Most recently I took a couple down about the Pension Regulator, not because of them but because I was working with a company who didn’t like me being critical of TPR. Other blogs have been taken down because I can’t be bothered to go to law even though I’m right.  2 blogs have been trashed, we all make mistakes.

The first blog was published on 3rd January 2009, the most popular blog was a joke I wrote about Harrods that was read 32,000 times in a month by an American circular (and over 200,000 times altogether).

My only barren periods since my early days in 2009 were last year when I was firstly unconscious and then neurologically challenged.

There aren’t many people who subscribe to the blog, probably because you’re frightened of the number of emails you get sent. I’m told I have just under 13,000 subscribers though that sounds unlikely and may include followers. I know 2,000 people get emails.

The subjects that my stat desk tell me get most read relate to Nest, St James Place, Waspi and NHS in that order.

People read my blog all around the world , apart from Greenland . If anyone is going to Greenland and has access to wi-fi- please!

I have no intention of ever making a penny out of this blog. It will not have adverts , I will not write for anyone’s pleasure but mine.

If I have a go at you, then you have a go back! I am not an evil person – 2 of my blogs out of 9,000 were wrong.

Finally, if you haven’t been mentioned by me and want to be, please write me something that I can publish. Of course I won’t publish stuff that isn’t right. Most stuff I get sent for publishing I publish, but some I don’t.
