This advert appeared as I was browsing tweets of Paul Lewis. It is of course promoting a scam but it has found its way passed whatever supervision twitter has and is being promoted today. It’s been around since September 15th, misuses the Daily Mirror masthead and misrepresents David Attenborough and Graham Norton as fans of a bitcoin purchasing algorithm

Put simply, this is why we need an online harms bill that includes financial promotions as “online harms”. Because for ever 999 people who see through this crap, there’s one that doesn’t and there’s an awful lot of those “ones” on twitter.
