Director of Member Services
We’re the Pension Protection Fund. We protect millions of people in the UK who belong to defined benefit pension schemes. When these schemes fail, we’re ready to help.
We do this by paying our members, by charging a levy and by investing sustainably. Our work has a real impact on people’s lives, so we strive to do it well, with integrity and their future in mind.
The rare opportunity has arisen to join the PPF as Director of Member Services, where the successful candidate will provide motivational, member-focused leadership to an award-winning team of around 70 Pensions Administration experts and 30 Contact Centre Advisors.
This position will be responsible for putting our members at the heart of everything we do, by setting the strategic direction of the business unit, delivering against that vision, and generating and maintaining a culture which reflects the values and priorities of the PPF. This role will form part of a senior leadership team, headed up by the Chief Customer Officer (PPF Board member) and responsible for all aspects of assessing and transferring schemes following employer insolvency, as well as serving members.
Our ideal applicant will have experience of leading a number of multi-disciplinary DB pension teams, and a sound understanding of both the current and historic pension regimes. They will have experience of working within a member focused environment and will be able to demonstrate success in achieving high satisfaction and engagement scores from members and employees alike. This position requires someone who can make key decisions on work and staff management, work in a collaborative and innovative way, whilst proving excellent leadership, with the ability to motivate and develop a team, delegating, and sharing knowledge.
In return for your skills, experience and commitment we’ll give you a challenging role within a business where you’ll get the support you need to develop your career.
We’ll also give you lots of opportunities for personal development and skills training.
