The sun shone – the river was calm and everyone had a grand time at the Thames Traditional Boat Festival this weekend. (18th-19th July).

Whether you are a lover of wooden boats (small and large) , I hope you will enjoy these photos, taken largely from the deck of Lady Lucy (winner of the Osland Trophy 2007).

The only sadness, that we didn’t see Bluebird make her run down the regatta course, foiled on Saturday by a small engine fire and on Sunday by a churlish crane operator.

Thanks to Lady McAlpine and all the organisers (we say you picking up litter on Sunday morning!)
