It is difficult to get out of Microsoft (owners of Linkedin) how many active users there are. John Espirian reckons there are just under 800m “active” but 1.1 billion accounts. A lot (300m) of dead people, people on more than once and people who are on there but have no knowledge of it.
I found this because I’ve found the second active Henry Tapper and not only is he a first degree contact, but he’s coming to England in September and threatening to buy me a pint!

Henry Tapper the younger!
He’s clearly an extrovert and he looks a bit like my son. I think I’d like social media to bring us together and I’ve no plans to go to Denver Colorado!
It has been very unique being Henry Tapper nearly 64 years, I don’t have any Henry Tappers on Facebook to talk to and I don’t know any Henry Tapper’s alive (there was two ancestors in Dorset and they must have known each other as they both were connected with the town I was brought up in – Shaftesbury

I’ll make sure that Denver Henry is aware of the name’s proprietary!
It is a little discombobulating to have another Henry Tapper to answer to and will be more so if we do find a way to meet next month!

But what a remarkable thing it is that the only two active Henry Tappers out of 800,000,000 people active on Linked in, have come together – across continents, generations and it looks – education!
If anything comes of this, I’ll report!

Are you sure he’s nota chatbot??
Well we’ll see! He is verified and I’m not quite sure why you’d offer to buy another Henry Tapper a pint if a chatbot were up to no good!
Perhaps I’m a chatbot too, Mr Anonymous!
You think you have problems – try being Peter Brown!
I think you mean 1.1bn accounts, of which 800m are active.
Exactly! What I mean Byron. Will revise to make clear
