Stuart McDonald’s presentation on excess deaths in the pandemic and beyond

You can access Stuart McDonald’s barnstorming presentation on what’s happened to mortality over and since the pandemic – from this link.

A measure of the hour long presentation’s engagement was that there was as many people who started out as there were at the end of the session. We had no excess deaths.

I will be publishing a link to the slides as soon as I can create one but you can see them all within the video for now.

We are lucky to have this man in our midst, we will remember the work of the Covid-actuarial response group long after we have consigned Covid to the list of illnesses that we are prone to.

Stuart McDonald is the best thing to come out of Bromley since Siouxie  Sioux.

Stuart receiving his MBE for his work.

Stuart says more than once from around 26 minutes 5 seconds in that “We’re comparing excess mortality with the pre-pandemic year of 2029 where excess mortality was pretty good”. I presume these are slips of the tongue, 2029 should be 2019?
