The Government has deferred a decision to publish it’s position on the state pension age until after the General Election . It should, by law, be published before today.
The flash vote is closed and here are the results
“Should Government’s be putting politics before pensions?” – or to frame the question another way “do we have enough to think about with our vote on June 8th, than to worry about when we can retire?”
95% of the 8500 people who voted thought the Government should have published. Forget Purdah – this is about pensions and people’s retirements trump politics.
Let’s hope someone in Government is listening!
