The NHS has made me very happy!

This is me in bed 19 of the short term ward at UCH’s Westmoreland hospital. It’s where I will start and end this blog of thanks for a wonderful operation and birthday

Look carefully and you can see happy birthday behind my head (photo care of my nurse).

This is the “Relax on your birthday” card I got as I was wheeled in, drawn by those who were so kind to me in the following hours!

I won’t go into details other than to say that I travelled home with a spring in my step and a gratitude for everyone from those who got me in my gowns to those who put me to sleep, chopped me up and settled me down for a good night and for those who cheered me when I passed water the following morning!

Let’s finish with another mad moment of happiness and a huge hug to everyone I came in contact with for this wonderful procedure!
