Swan Festivals can still be free – with ukulele

Last night I was with Windsor Ukulele in the cowshed of the Swan Pub. They were rehearsing, we were having another free jamboree.

I’ve been given a bit of ribbing by the er “younger” generation for slagging off the rip-off of festivals such as Glastonbury and Boomtown. I don’t care, I wanted my parents and grandparents to have a different view of festivals than I did when I was in my teens and now I’m glad I have a different view from 17 year olds.

My view is that music made by those in their older lives carries with it the vitality of rock and roll from the sixties and seventies and I hope that a few youngsters are down the Swan on Friday night and that similar free events are happening all over the country, not just in Stella’s and my summer local!

The Swan

This is what you’ll be missing out on Friday night if you don’t make it down to Clewer

What the Swan has to say about its fest

We’re back for our 5th Year of Swanfest, A festival for the entire family. Jam packed with live music, kids crafts and Entertainment and not forgetting beer from around the country.
