Sarah Smart is a pretty special person, chair of our Pensions Regulator she gave the VFM podcast 90 minutes of high power insights into herself and her role at the Pensions Regulator.
She has lived through the death of Fraser and she has found a way back. This was not talked about but I want to spell out the admiration I have for moving on, Fraser will be proud of her.
Fraser died up north as did my superintendent’s husband (Bishop of Oban). If I could set up a lunch with two other people it would be Jenny Smith and Sarah Smart. Learning how to live with the death of the one you love most is something I’d love to hear these two fine women talking of. As you can see from these photos, they are peas from the pod!
I don’t really want to echo the podcast as what Sarah talks about should not be diluted by this blog, she is bloody good and once we’ve got over the football rubbish at outset , this is a well structured conversation and the discussion of VFM at the end is worth getting to.
Jennifer and Sarah both talk about diversity. They have different views on things to me and I learn from them. My wife/partner is now a trustee of our Wesleyan Chapel and she too has had to put up with a lot. She provides me with diversity and is another source of love
And what is critical to their success is that though they are knowledgeable about the Scriptures and the Regulator’s downloads, they sing to large audiences messages of good will – dare I say it – yes I will – they deliver messages of joy.
I doubt that many people who spend time with the Pensions Regulator spend time with Jennifer Smith but I’d like to think that is you like the Chair of TPR , you will like this pod and listening to Jen telling immigrants to stand up for themselves and not be afraid of the society that can impress them.
Jennifer’s sermon is only a few minutes long, listen to it (as I have) after listening to the podcast, especially if you don’t spend much time in the company of good women with strong hearts!

Sarah and Jennifer – thanks!
