The hour long webcast of Edi Truell talking from a Swiss train to 40 or so Pension Playmates is not an exciting watch. We do not see the glacial peaks or the vertiginous cliffs that the train passes, we see only the nodding heads of pension aficionados.

The webcast is however an exciting listen, so I exhort you to plug in your buds and listen to Edi talk us through how the pension superfund has morphed into backing DB schemes to run on and into the Pension SuperHaven , a DB pension scheme for people with too much pot and not enough pension.

This webcast was broadcast as Edi made his way down to Zurich from the high alps on a Swiss train. We only lose him to a tunnel for less than 20 seconds, a testimony to Swiss wi-fi.

What Edi’s fellow travellers made of this Englishman abroad , we don’t know but I hope they found his words as comforting as many on the call did.
