Reform the payment of pension tax relief to ensure that no low earners miss out

We call on Government to ensure no low earners miss out on the tax top up on their pension contributions. We estimate that this issue hurts the living standards of nearly 2 million pension savers. Government should act to ensure low earners in all types of pension schemes receive pension tax relief

  1. Adrian Boulding says:

Please sign the petition, these are low earning part time workers and they are losing £64 a year out of their take home pay through no fault of their own.

The issue affects predominantly working mothers. Over the course of their full career they will accrue enough pension to be tax payers in retirement. So they deserve tax relief on the way in as they will be paying tax on the pension when they draw it
