Thanks to the c. million people who’ve visited my blog in 2025. I started the year recovering from a “neurological incident” but end it confident there will be a 2026 and many more good ones to come!
I hope you found 2025 a good year for your pension. Whether you’re expecting to or actually enjoying your state pension it went up with inflation. If you have a private or (especially) a public defined benefit pension – another year of security. If you have a DC pot you can look forward to a better pension in years to come and those who have converted using 2025 annuity rates, you have done well – relative to most of those of this century.
This blog is about monitoring and warning against bad practice, but it is also about celebrating good things. This card is to you in the hope that you have a great 2026 and decades to come.
My religion follows Christ , your religion may be different or you may have no religious beliefs. Whatever your faith, I hope that you find the certainty of happiness in the months to come so that whatever comes your way you are resilient!
A year ago, people worried for me, now they do not quite so much, I seem to have made a recovery. Some friends have not, my memories are for Chris Sier and Andrew Warwick-Thompson and for others who I knew so well, may they sleep contently.
If you read this and find me tough going, you don’t need to! I am avoidable, I do not mean to offend! If you enjoy reading this blog, I have much to say next year!
