City Mayor in pension push

I am looking forward as I do each year to the Lord Mayor’s show which happens tomorrow. Today the new Lord Mayor is sworn in, tomorrow he will be on show.

He follows two great mayors, Nick Lyons (now back at Phoenix) and fellow friend to this blog Michael Manelli

If you are the kind of person who wants to see the show from a bus that is part of the parade you can still buy tickets as advertised by the future Lord Mayor himself on social media

If you are a reader of this blog and intending to go to the show, please text me or drop me a line at henry@agewage.com.  I am holding an open flat in Friar Street EC4 and if I’m not at home, you can summon me from the streets from the Cockpit pub next door!

Our new Lord Mayor is a fund manager and he’s saying the right things about pension fund management

“There’s a crack in our shop window in the form of the London Stock Exchange,” said King. “I know that there’s quite a de-equitisation issue across the world, but I think that London suffered a fair amount and I think that it’s time to try to reverse that.”

I hope he can generate a bit more of a smile for the Manson House event he’s hosting next week!
