In advance, I’m publishing anonymously a string of comments on the British Steel Pension Transfers Facebook page. The page has nearly 3,000 members, the vast majority of whom made pension transfers before, during and after the 2017 “Time to Choose” episode. I hope that the publication will reflect the tone of these comments

I’m just wondering is the pension saga all over. I won the FOS decision but when it came to redress calculation, as I’d made 30k in 6 years, weren’t eligible for any redress, despite being wrongly advised and losing my guaranteed income for the rest of my life. So is this now the end of my fight as its now been years since redress calc. Any info would be appreciated.
Yeah time to move on all been in the same boat
It’s all smoke and mirrors why some people received a compensation payout and others were entitled to nothing. The FSCS need to be accountable for this mess.
Should of bin calculated on transfer date scam
I did the same mate
Same here mate. Wrong advice given which was the outcome of the FOS investigation plus I must have paid about £30k in transfer and annual fees over the years but had feck all compensation because according to them I’m in a better position now. So the advisors got off Scot free basically and had £30k off me for giving me bad advice. Absolute scam
The reason i ask, is because i fooked off the £300 and the FCA claim £150, im sure these people have made enough money off our backs, i think id rather it in my bank account rather than theirs………I just didnt want to jeapordise any further deallings with all these crooks, like i say at least Dick Turpin wore a mask, all these (Agencies/people) where supposed to protect us (FOS, FCA & FSCS) But their all just as corupt a the system.
Very similar to myself – probably the same crooks (sorry profesional advsiors) involved. The redress scheme was an ass covering exercise by the authorities – not a redress or holding to account as it should have been.Feel your pain and frustration chaps.
It’s another crock of
I had exactly the same outcomeThe FSCS found in my favourMy FA sold on my pension pot to another Pension advisor, unbeknown to meAfter the 6000 quid the original advisor took to transfer out ,the new FA took a further 5000 quid to manage itBut the FSCS found in some 40000 quid better off. .
Work that one out. !
