The spirit of the evening!
I don’t drink now and was concerned play would mean getting pissed. Not a bit of it, LGPS delegates were far too keen to be on top sports form to get drunk and the games evening that followed a hard day of sessions had been topped for many with a run and for many more for a nature walk around the gravel lakes that surround us on the borders of Cambridge and Bedfordshire.
The food on offer this evening was from a vegan stall (I ate vegan for the first time and it was delicious) and more robust stalls in the gardens of our conference centre. I am commenting elsewhere about the serious stuff and much was discussed as we played, but let this blog remind us that you can do everything that might cost a lot more elsewhere on a sensible budget!
