159 years good – my Mum and Dad

My mother

My Mum was 79 last month, my Dad is 80 on Sunday. Dad packed in work this year, my Mum completed the 700 mile South West coastal path – they are beginning to wind down.

All too often it takes a serious illness or a death to get you to admit your love for someone. I’m getting my tuppence worth in early – Mum and Dad I love you!

I hope that whether you’re lucky like me or whether your relationship with your parents broke down or if you’ve lost them, you’ll be able to spare them a warm thought now.

If you knew my parents you’d understand why I’m so proud to be their son and though none of their four children would pretend to hold a candle to their folks, I hope that we’ve given them some happiness.
